The Aquila series is an Urban Fantasy Romance set in a world where the angeli and the dragone are living everyday at war, and humans remain blissfully clueless . . . mostly. 

Aquila (Aqua) Vickers

Age: 17

Species: Cross-breed

Title/Profession: Guardian of Celthia

Lineage: Adoptive daughter of Libby Vickers. Thought to be the biological daughter of Marcus the Protector.

Info: Aqua is stubborn and impulsive. She had a simple life in the country but dreamed of a world without the fear of discovery. Meeting Lucas, an angeli Tail, opened a door to a new world. Now she has to fight to get part of her old life back.

Augustus (August)

Age: 17

Species: Human

Title/Profession: Works in the barracks

Relationship: Aqua's adoptive brother. Adoptive son of Marcus the Protector. Biological son of Libby Vickers.

Info: Thinking her son was stillborn, Libby allowed August to be taken by Marcus immediately after his birth. Aqua discovers him alive and well, living inside the hidden angeli city. August is vibrant and energetic, and always able to cheer Aqua when she is at her lowest.

Aaron Coles

Age: 18

Species: Human

Title/Profession: Dairy Farmer

Relationship: Aqua's best friend.

Info: Aaron has been by Aqua's side for every major milestone since they were four. Reacting badly to Aqua's revelation is his biggest regret, getting stabbed by the dragone is his second. He plans to stay in the angeli city, for as long as it takes to redeem himself, regardless of whether he's welcome.

Libby Vickers

Age: 39

Species: Human

Title/Profession: Organic Farmer

Relationship: Aqua's adoptive mother. August's biological mother.

Info: Libby has mourned the loss of her son for seventeen years. Aqua is preparing to return with news of his existence when Libby is kidnapped by the dragone. Aqua's first chance to be reunited with her mother comes in the form of a lone rescue attempt, which doesn't exactly go to plan.
